Children are very important at Waterfront Community Church and we aim to provide activities for them as much as possible. We run two Junior Church streams aged 3-8 and 9-13, which is headed by Donna Yelland, with a team of volunteers and helpers who provide activities during both of our Sunday services.
Children are encouraged to stay in the main service during worship time, and leave for Junior Church usually just before the preaching. The morning activities are usually based around a structured scheme, looking at different aspects of the Christian faith in a fun and relevant way. The evening session usually involves crafts, worship, games and lots of fun!!!
There is also a midweek playgroup for children with disablilites called ‘Sbri’ which is organised by Nia Lewis. www.sbri-swansea.org.uk
We also provide a creche for children under three years of age which can be used at any time during our services, as long as the child is supervised by a responsible adult.
